"Motherhood...it's not something you do if you can squeeze the time in, it is what God gave you time for."
-- Rachel Jankovic, quoted by Neil L. Anderson
Good information. The teaching of "diversity" in kindergarten and elementary school is part of common core standards. I already knew that. The part on Church was truly shocking. This is why I now home school my daughter. When she was in 7th and 8th grade I did it myself. Last year I used Connections Academy. No where on their website does it mention Common Core. Connections is owned by Pearson which funded CC. They go directly to my daughter on everything including picking her classes. I told them last year, they had no right leaving me out of the decision making. I am the parent not them. She is signed up for this year. Another thing I didn't like about CA is that everything is on computer. My daughter sits in front of a computer 8-9 hours a day. Is this healthy? I found her many times playing video games or writing emails instead of working. It was very frustrating. I did look into Seton Homeschool because they refused Common Core and they are private but Catholic based. Still much better than the government option. I will post on FB.
